Actor Femi Adebayo claims, "I Sold Some Of My Properties To Produce Jagun Jagun."

Femi Adebayo, a renowned actor and producer from Nigeria, has discussed how his faith influenced the creation of his successful film Jagun Jagun.

In a video posted to Instagram on Wednesday, Adebayo answered questions from reporters and revealed that he had sold some of his properties to raise the money needed for the film's development.

The actor, better known by his stage name Jelili, said that the production of Jagun Jagun cost billions of naira.

Adebayo disclosed that he combined earnings from the sale of his assets and the 2022 film, King Of Thieves (Agbeshinkole), to finance the production of the film.

"Jagun Jagun is a multi-billion naira project, so I can't disclose how much I specifically spent on the filming.

"I created Jagun Jagun using the Agbeshinkole sales revenue. I was trying to avoid being supported by financial institutions and private individuals.

When I ran out of money, I sold my houses because I was confident the initiative would succeed.

The talented actor also discussed some of the challenges that were faced throughout the film's production.

"We created the warrior school from the ground up. We had to take on the challenge of buying the land because we desired to be its owners. And at one point, we reached an arrangement and paid for it, but the land's owner's children later decided against the sale.

"The kids from Lagos told us to cease building the school halfway through. When we went to the police station and Obas appealed to them, they were ready to destroy everything we had made and had kept us from moving for over a week. We were then advised to only shoot there and not buy it.

Adebayo stated, "I wanted to bring along a societal message to the youths, which is what inspired the movie.

The good, the bad and the ugly marriage of late Saint Obi

By Zik Zulu Okafor

Saint Obi's social life was blunted. Perhaps by his reticent disposition. His personal, two dimensional. To a distant public, he was upscale and cool . His manly bearing spoke loud. His onscreen image ironically amplified some idiosyncrasies:  heroics, romantic adventures and traits that did not gel with the mortal privacy that eerily define his quiet and lonely life.

Saint Obi, real name, Obinna Nwafor, was shy, almost bordering on timidity and insecurity. He cherished the pleasantly tranquil interractions among a few friends. He would vanish at any outburst that could upset the poise of such small meetings. As he repeatedly told me, he just wanted to live a cool, quiet and fulfilled life.

But, has he lived  this cool and fulfilled life he envisioned ? I have my doubts.

I tell Saint's story here with painful tears in my eyes; because he was a star, a super star whose life turned out a gleam of irony.
Yet, it was this stardom that fetched him his much professed financially strong and powerful wife. And their wedding, that solemn ritual of love, would drastically alter the cause of his life and tragically yank him off the creative community that threw him up for the wife to capture and indeed conquer.

Is Game of Thrones the #1 most watched TV show ever?

It holds the record for most Emmy Awards (59) & most Emmy nominations (161). In just about every publication, GoT is ranked as one of the best shows of all time. Ironically, it was originally written to be “unfilmable.” In the late 1970s, George R.R. Martin quit his teaching job to try to become a full-time writer. Martin had some success selling science fiction short stories and novellas, but then in 1983, his novel “The Armageddon Rag” was such a commercial failure that it “essentially destroyed my career as a novelist.” Desperate for work, Martin went out to Hollywood and secured a job as a staff writer in television.

The money was good but the work was frustrating. Later talking about what spurred him to write “A Game of Thrones”—the first book in his “Song of Ice and Fire” series—Martin said, “I worked in Hollywood for about 10 years, from the late ’80s to the ’90s.
