What are some secret things that women will never tell men?

  • Unlike men, women are not primarily driven by looks. Most often than not, we will decide if we are attracted to a man because of how that man makes us feel.
  • Our heart jumps every time we see your name in the notification of our post (like, comment)
  • Not all the time, we like to be dependent on you. Sometimes we like to support you financially as well as mentally.
  • We feel special when you remember small details about us.
  • We love it when you open up to us, when you tell us about your fears, your worst problems, your inner demon. It makes us feel that we are really important to you.
  • We are possessive by nature. We easily get jealous when we see you talking with other girls.
  • We know how we look, still, we ask you because we love it when you appreciate our beauty.
  • We find intelligence without arrogance sexy. It’s extremely sexy when a man knows how to maintain his intelligence without riding a high horse in the process.

During a marriage seminar, a woman was asked: Does your husband make you happy? Does it really make you happy?

At that moment, the husband raised his neck slightly as a sign of security, he knew that his wife would say yes, since she had never complained during their marriage.

However, the wife responded with a resounding - 'NO.!!! ...... does not make me happy' ... And to the astonishment of the husband... he continued: -It doesn't make me happy.........I am happy! ... Whether I am happy or not, that does not depend on him, but on me. I am the only person on whom my happiness depends.

If your husband cheated on you while you were pregnant, would you stay with him?

I once went through a similar experience with good friends. Only she was cheating on her husband. While she was pregnant. And it became murderous.

The lover was one of my best friends, and the total opposite of her husband.
The married couple had two young kids, with a third (almost) on the way.
And, you know, one thing led to another — cheaters are never guilty, they are simply “led” by things — and so they started fooling around.
(“On the bed, on the floor, on a towel by the door, in the tub, in the car — up against the mini-bar.” 🎵)
The fact that she got pregnant wasn’t really good news. Because she did not have the faintest idea who the father was. What a stupid luxury.
When David (the husband) found out, he almost killed himself.

Hausa Traditional marriage rites

The Hausa traditional marriage is mostly based on Islamic rites, and not as time consuming or expensive like the Igbo and Yoruba traditional marriage ceremonies.
The Hausa tribe mainly reside in the northern part of Nigeria, and are predominantly Muslims, while a few are Christians.

Though a great number of people in this region speak the

Hausa

language, different tribes among them have their own individual unique dialects.

The Hausa traditional marriage is mostly based on

 Islamic

, and not as time consuming or expensive like the

 Igbo

and

 Yoruba

traditional marriage ceremonies.

However, the process leading up to the marriage is slightly similar to what obtains in the other regions in Nigeria.

When a man sees the woman he wants to marry, he has to first of all seek permission from her parents. The family of the bride-to-be will then conduct an investigation on the background of the man to determine his religious beliefs, ethics, moral and family customs, as well as every important details concerning his upbringing.

The groom-to-be if approved by the woman's family, is allowed to see her briefly but any form of physical contact, romance or courting before marriage is highly discouraged.

Once the woman accepts the marriage offer, the man sends his parents or guardians as well as elderly relatives to formally ask for her hand in marriage.

However, this may not be the same for all the tribes in the Hausa communities, as each of them have different customs regarding marriage rites, though the process mentioned above is the most common method.

On their trip to the bride's family home to seek her parent's consent, the groom's family take along items such as kolanuts, bags of salt, sweets, etc.

It is during this visit that the groom's parents will make their intentions known.

Gaisuwais

is a kind of formal approval from the bride's family to the groom's. This is where the bargain for the bride's dowry begins.

Usually, the bride price starts from a minimum amount known as '

Rubu Dinar

' in Hausa, an

Arabic

phrase which means 'quarter kilogram of gold piece', to the highest amount the groom can afford to pay.

It is most preferred for the bride price to be as low as possible, because according to Islamic teachings, the lesser the amount paid as the bride's dowry, the more blessings that will come to the marriage. Payment of the dowry is known as

Sadaki

.

Also, the wedding date is fixed during this visit, by both families. The process of setting the date is called

Sarana

.

The wedding day itself is called

Fatihah

, and it is the day of joining the two families.

As part of Hausa tradition, it is the duty of the husband to provide a house for the couple to live in, while furnishing the house is the full responsibility of the bride's family.

At the wedding Fatihah, women are to remain indoors preparing the bride for her new life as a wife, which is referred to as

Kunshi

. The Kunshi is similar to a bridal shower.

The wedding reception is known as

Walimah

, and it is carried out according to the taste of the families involved. It is usually held after the Fatihah, and it goes on for a whole day with food and drinks available for family, friends and well wishers.

At the end of the celebration, the bride is taken to her husband's house after receiving pieces of marital advise from parents, aunts, uncles, parents-in-law.

MEN HAVE PAINS TOO

A woman said to me, 'It took me years to really know that men cry too. I took my husband for a super human. I see him leave the house everyday and come back providing for us. One day as I have left the house and he was at home, I remembered that I needed to take something along, I turned back and headed home. As I got home, I tried going through the back door which was closer to the window of our room. I heard my husband crying like a baby asking God to help me get a job so I can help him fend for the family. He has never complained to me before but that day, I broke down in tears realizing that my husband has held much of his pains alone"

A young married lady went to her mother and complained that her husband has not always bought things she wanted from him. The mother asked her, 'How many of those things have you bought for yourself?". She stayed quiet and said, 'But he is my husband?". The mother replied her, 'Have you ever found out the things your husband wants you to buy for him?".

Men always try to hide their pains.

Men can be financially broke and pretend to have everything.

Most men are married but they have lonely life. Sometimes, ask your husband out. Men are not always busy as women think.

You have to understand that your husband has pains and needs too. Don't judge him by things you want from him. Sometimes, your husband doesn't have things you want.

Men also have emotional needs and problems. Men still cry for love...

What made you believe in hard work

Being in a relationship with a hard-working man is not for everyone.

This is why some women these days are interested in men with no life perspective.

Having a relationship with a hard working man is to understand that he might not always be available for you.

You may think, there are times where he will not always seem invested in the relationship, but its not the case at all, its quite the opposite, he wakes up every morning and works hard every chance he can to create a stable future for you.

You need to understand there will be days where he will most likely be tired and he'll barely have time to take a shower and give you a kiss and head to bed to get some much needed sleep to start it all over again the first thing in the morning.

Do not take this kind of man for granted.

He might come off a little rough around the edges because of his dirty callused hands and greased stained shirt, but this man will love you with a type of love you have never experienced before.

So here is to the hardworking men that are married to the woman of their dreams that get up every morning and work hard everyday for their families in order to live a life they have always dreamed of. Y’all are very RARE type to find any more‼️💫🤴🏽💕👸

What is a “divorce gene” and why do some couples split out of the blue, according to science?

We inherit our eye color, body shape, and blood type from our parents. Our genes control our physical traits, but, surprisingly, they can also lead us in our behavior. For example, we all used to believe that if a couple gets divorced, it’s all because of their psychology, or the chemistry between them is gone. But recent studies have unveiled a shocking truth: divorce may be in our genes.

I couldn’t keep from sharing what scientists have discovered about the so-called “divorce gene.” Take a look at this mind-teasing genetic game.

Our DNA plays a big part in how much we argue.

If a relationship is full of arguments and marriage comes to an end, the spouses may wonder what went wrong. Scientists say the answer could lie in a woman’s genes They have discovered a female ‘divorce gene’ that can predict a rocky marriage.

Scientists claim the gene affects how women process oxytocin, which is the “cuddle hormone.” It also promotes feelings of love and affection. Women who have the oxytocin affecting gene, are 50% more likely to claim that they’re unhappy in their marriage or even that they are close to a divorce. They just may not be able to bond normally with their partners because of this gene.

Genes also decide if a man will be faithful to his spouse.

Surprisingly, it’s not only the upbringing or the character of a man that decides if he will be committed to one and the same woman. Scientists found that there’s a special gene that is responsible for faithfulness.

Just like women, men have their own hormone that is responsible for bonding and commitment. It’s called vasopressin and some men have a mutation in a related gene. If a man has this gene mutation, he is less likely to be monogamous, so there’s a risk that he’ll be unfaithful to his spouse.

Scientists even suggest the imaginary situation that a woman can use to test her potential husband for faithfulness. All she might need for this is a sample of his saliva sent for genetic testing by a special app.

Parents can pass the special “divorce gene” to their kids too.

Children of divorced parents have more of a chance to divorce their spouses when compared to kids who were raised in 2-parent families. And studies suggest that it’s not the upbringing, but genetic factors that may be to blame.

Studies were done involving kids who were adopted into families and who grew up with adoptive parents. The results were overwhelming: it turns out, the kids inherited their histories of divorce, but not from their adoptive parents. They inherited it from their biological parents. And this happened even if they were separated from their biological parents at a very young age.

What do you think about the “divorce gene”? Which factor, in your opinion, is more important in divorce: the example that parents set or the genes themselves?
