Fresh Cult Clash Claims Four Lives in Abeokuta, Ogun State

Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, witnessed a fresh cult clash that resulted in the death of four people.

The clash started on Thursday when a suspected Eiye confraternity leader, known as Oloba, was gunned down by suspected Buccaneer confraternity members in front of his house in the Ijeja area of Abeokuta South LGA. A police source confirmed that Oloba was killed on Thursday and another suspected cultist, Tayo Alora, was also killed on Sunday morning in the Isabo area of the state capital. A resident said,

“They must have followed him here, but they did not have any argument or fight before he was shot. This is very frightening, the government should act fast before things get worse.

“This is how they usually start, the police and other security agencies should please do their job immediately.” The police spokesperson in the state, Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the killings, also said that two other suspected cult members were killed.
