Thunder kills official during football match in Niger

Mustafa coach 02, a well-known football referee, was killed on Tuesday during a friendly football game in Madalla, Niger State.
An Eyewitness,Muhammed Musa,said that the match between Madalla and Suleja youths was in halftime break and scheduled to end around 5 p.m. when the incident occurred.
He said, "It was tempestuous and all of the footballers, close by their fans, looked for cover inside homerooms. Together with his team, the referee returned to the field and asked the players to join them.
When the thunder struck, they were the only people in the field. Two of them were rushed to the emergency room right away, but Mustafa Mentor 02 was declared "irredeemable."
The janazah petitions to heaven were said to have been hung in Suleja town on Wednesday morning, according to a relative of the deceased who only gave his name as Ibrahim.
