1. Research the company: Learn as much as you can about the company you are interviewing with, their products/services, mission and culture.
2. Review the job description: Get familiar with the job requirements, responsibilities, and skills required. Prepare some examples of how your skills match the requirements of the job.
3. Practice your responses: Prepare responses to common interview questions and practice them with a friend or family member.
4. Dress appropriately: Dress professionally for the interview. Make sure you are comfortable in what you are wearing.
5. Arrive early and be prepared: Plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes early. Bring extra copies of your resume, a list of references, a paper and pen.
6. Be confident and positive: Project confidence and positivity during the interview. Remember to smile and make eye contact.
7. Ask thoughtful questions: Prepare a list of questions to ask the interviewer about the company, job responsibility and career development opportunities.
8. Follow up after the interview: Send a follow-up thank-you note/ email within 24 hours of the interview. Thank the interviewer for their time and opportunity.
