When was the 1st time in human history police was introduced for the law and order of the society?

The whole law and order thing was pretty much Hammurabi’s thing. He was the King of Babylon, their sixth to be precise. Ruling a Kingdom in what is present-day Iraq. He was not only known for his beard, which in paintings and statues somewhat reminds me of a rug growing on his chin, but above all for his code.

Now the Code of Hammurabi was an interesting piece of text. It pretty much was the world’s first law. It would describe crimes, very specific crimes, and would tell which punishment would befit each crime. The whole saying “an eye for an eye” comes from Hammurabi’s code — if you stab a man in the eye, he ought to have his own eye stabbed out. Etcetera.

The enforcers of Hammurabi’s policies were his paid soldiers, guards, members of his army. They were the world’s first police as we know it, and some of them worked full-time on enforcing his laws just as a modern cop would, only with a glorious beard and minus donuts.
