Leonardo DiCaprio says that 'The Revenant' was the most difficult film of his life:
"We embarked on an existential journey in the middle of nature and pushed ourselves to the limit of our strength. We were there for a reason and I believe the viewer will be incredibly moved by this story. It's something really original. declared the 41-year-old actor.
The film, based on true events, tells the story of Hugh
Glass (DiCaprio), a renowned explorer who was attacked by a bear and abandoned
by his expedition companions, but whose desire for revenge leads him to survive
and embark on an odyssey of hundreds. miles to find the men who betrayed him.
To do so, Glass must miraculously recover from his injuries, overcome a brutal winter and avoid confrontations with the American Indian tribes that populated the American West region in the early 19th century.
"I knew perfectly well what kind of filmmaker Alejandro was. He is an incredibly kind, courteous and collaborative person who seeks to make the best film possible and who takes into account all the elements so that the spectator can experience an authentic immersion when entering the cinema", explained DiCaprio.
