The Queen of Sheba or Queen of the South, was in the Torah, the Old and New Testaments, the Koran, the history of Ethiopia and Yemen, a famous ruler of the ancient Kingdom of Sheba, the most powerful kingdom of Arabia Felix.
Although her origins are disputed, the Queen of Sheba is at the center of Ethiopian mythology. Her encounter with King Solomon three thousand years ago was legendary.
Its existence is documented in several texts, among them the Jewish Bible, the Koran, where the Queen is called Bilqis and an ancient Ethiopian document called "Kebre-Ngast where she is called Makeda and is even mentioned in the New Testament as the Queen of the South.
Her origin or where she came from remains largely unconsensual as Ethiopia and Yemen say she belongs to them.
But the meeting between the Queen and the King is reported in many traditional religious texts.
Where the legendary Queen went to meet Solomon with various gifts, including seven hundred and ninety-seven camels, spices, jewels and precious goods.
It really is a success story because it talks about love, union, friendship and thirst for knowledge.
The Queen's story continues to this day, as for many she is a symbol of beauty, love and peace and of someone who made an effort in search of knowledge.
As for Ethiopians, she is a real icon...
I believe that everyone who loves history is thirsty for knowledge.
The photo in the post is just to give life and aesthetics in the post.
