#NigeriaDecides2023: Tinubu scores majority votes in presidential election, may be declared winner

Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of Nigeria’s ruling party, APC, has scored majority votes in the presidential election held on Saturday across the country.

Although the final results have not been declared at the national collation centre in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, electoral officials in the 36 states and Abuja have announced the results for each state.

A PREMIUM TIMES tally of the results shows that Mr Tinubu leads his closest challenger, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, with over 1.8 million votes after the summation of results from the 36 states and Abuja

Mr Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos State, has so far garnered 8,805,420 votes. He also won the elections in 12 states.

Tinubu files suit to restrain LP, PDP moves

The All Progressives Congress and its presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Tuesday, 28th February 2023 has filed a lawsuit to prevent moves by the Labour Party and the People’s Democratic Party to the ongoing collation of Saturday’s presidential election results.

The Action Alliance and the Independent National Electoral Commission were joined as defendants while the APC vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, was also listed as a plaintiff.

How monogamous are chimpanzees?

Not at all; they’re quite promiscuous. Male chimpanzees compete for females and copulate with as many as possible. Females copulate with multiple males not only to conceive young but also as a sexual favor that’s repaid by more favorable treatment from males, such as food sharing and protection. Such female behavior creates a state of “paternity confusion” in which males are more caring toward females they’ve copulated with, and toward the young of those females, because they recognize that they might be the father of those offspring (“Mama’s baby, daddy’s maybe”). Intense competition among males is why they have such big testicles—more sperm means a better chance of siring young. Get a load of this boy’s “boys.” (He looks pretty pleased with himself, doesn’t he?)

Gorillas are much less promiscuous, and one dominant silverback has uncontested dominion over a harem of females. With so little competition, they don’t need to produce as much sperm to ensure their paternity, so they have little bitty testicles relative to their body size, despite being much larger in body than chimps. See?—you can hardly see them.

What happened to the Bonaparte family after Napoleon III died?

Some of the previous answers have already alluded to the fate of the Bonaparte Family. After Emperor Napoleon III (1852–1870) was infamously defeated at the Battle of Sedan against the Prussian Army, the Parisians and the French people rose up and dethroned their Emperor, rallying their arms to try to repel the Prussians when their Emperor so miserably failed to defend them.

Napoleon III fled to Britain, where he remained until his death in 1873, all the while lamenting the rout at Sedan. His only son, Napoleon IV, was proclaimed the French Emperor by Bonapartists, and there was some sympathy for the Bonaparte Dynasty, as I recall that the monarchists in France had much political power in the 1870s and 1880s.

However, as fate would have it, the Bonaparte Dynasty was destined for obscurity following their final defeat at Sedan. Napoleon IV was much adored for his bravery and his heritage. He volunteered to go to South Africa and help the British forces fight the Zulus, taking the very sword Napoleon I used at the Battle of Austerlitz. Ultimately, the young Emperor would not live to see another French Empire, as he was killed in an ambush set by the Zulus. He was heavily wounded before he succumbed in combat, while a few of his fellow comrades were killed while the rest failed to intervene in time.

What are the best real-life examples of the law of unintended consequences in action?

Today, childbirth is a relatively routine process, with the current rate of maternal

death in developed nations being a mere nine women out of 100,000.

But times weren't always so good. In the 1840s, childbirth was extremely risky, due to a condition now known as puerperal fever. Healthy women would arrive at the hospital, contract the raging fever, and die within days. This condition flummoxed even Europe's best hospitals at the time, including perhaps the finest hospital of the time, Vienna General Hospital.

The statistics at the time were terrifying. From 1841-1846, 20,000 babies were delivered at Vienna General, with nearly 2,000 of the mothers dying. The situation worsened in 1847, with 1 in every 6 women dying of puerperal fever.

Then a young man joined Vienna General. His name? - Ignaz Semmelweis. His name might not be familiar to you now, but he probably saved billions of lives with a quick, clever change to the system.

Semmelweis was deeply distraught at all the deaths from this strange disease, and conducted an investigation in the hospital. From his early research, he gathered that while different doctors provided a variety of explanations for the condition, from foul air in the delivery wards to the presence of male doctors, none of them really knew what was going on.

So Semmelweis turned from doctor to data detective. He was attempting to solve this troubling puzzle: When women delivered babies at home or with a midwife, they were sixty times less likely to contract puerperal fever than with a trained doctor or medical professional. After analyzing data from his own hospital, Vienna General, which had two separate wards for delivery, one staffed with midwives and female trainees, and another with male doctors, he found that average death rate in the doctors' ward was more than twice as high as that in the other ward.

Having discredited all the other ridiculous theories floating in the air, Semmelweis proceeded to establish some facts.

  • Even the poorest women who delivered their babies and then came to the hospital did not contract the disease.
  • Women who were dilated for 24 hours almost certainly contracted the disease, as opposed to those who were dilated for a shorter time.
  • The disease could not have been contagious, because the doctors did not catch it from the mother or the newborn.

But as much credit should go to Semmelweis for his remarkable analysis, his realization came by accident. An older professor and a friend of Semmelweis suddenly died by a freak accident. As he was leading a student through an autopsy, the student's knife slipped and cut the professor on the finger.

The professor suffered a series of grave maladies before dying, which Semmelweis noted, were almost identical to those inflicted on mothers with puerperal fever. There was no ambiguity about the professor's cause of death. It was caused by "cadaverous particles introduced into his vascular system."

The cat was finally out of the box. In recent years, first-rate hospitals like Vienna General practiced autopsies as a method of studying anatomy. What better way to study illness than to sift through the diseased, malfunctioning organs in question? At Vienna General, every single deceased patient was taken to the autopsy room for examination.

But the doctors and medical students who came from the autopsy room went directly to the maternity ward with at best, a quick washing of their hands. The germs from the autopsy carried themselves all the way to the maternity ward, where the constant prodding and poking of the uterus by the doctors allowed them to fester and cause puerperal fever.

Semmelweis immediately ordered all doctors and medical students to disinfect their hands in a chlorinated wash after autopsies, to make sure that all germs were rid of. The rate of maternal death dropped to a whisper above one percent, saving millions, perhaps billions of lives in the process.

But where does the law of unintended consequences come into all of this? It's a piece of sheer irony that
doctors, in the pursuit of medical knowledge that could save thousands of lives, conducted autopsy after autopsy, which, in turn, led to the loss of thousands of lives.

How is dominance/non-dominance of hands explained in scientific terms? What happens in the brain?

By Ken Saladin (Former professor of histology (microscopic anatomy)

Handedness and dominance raise fascinating questions on multiple levels—a good excuse for me to postpone going to the office and write this up instead.

There is a hypothesis that the predominance of right-handedness in humans evolved out of a tendency of females, maybe even as far back as our australopithecine ancestors, to hold their infants in the left arm. The human heart tilts to the left, and if a baby is held in the left arm with its ear against the mother’s chest, this is where it would be best able to hear its mother’s soothing heartbeat.
[1] It’s not hard to imagine a reproductive, and hence genetic and evolutionary benefit in this aspect of infant calmness, comfort, and parent-offspring bonding.

Holding the baby that way means the mother would predominantly use her free, right hand for manipulating things, including feeding solid food to the baby when it’s old enough. In this way, right-handedness may have gotten entrenched as the dominant phenotype in the human species to follow. For this to be passed down and spread through the population almost certainly means it is genetically influenced. In the alternative, the behavior could have spread culturally, or by a mixture of genetic and cultural transmission.
[2] Hand-dominance in the genera Australopithecus and Homo is reflected even in skeletal asymmetry.

Hand dominance is found throughout a broad range of vertebrates from frogs and turtles to parrots and apes.
[3] Some authorities describe great apes like gorillas and orangutans as right- or left-handed,
[4] whereas others say hand dominance is not as well developed in the other great apes as it is in Australopithecus and Homo.
[5] The nonhuman apes seldom walk around cradling their infants in their arms, so from the standpoint of the aforesaid evolutionary hypothesis, there’s seemingly less reason to expect them to develop a strong right-left bias.

A purely cultural basis for handedness is a less powerful hypothesis than the genetic–evolutionary one. It would not explain right-handedness in most males, for example, whereas genetics would, since both sexes inherit the same autosomal (non-sex) chromosomes and genes. We find hand dominance not just in humans but in other mammals as well, including mice where it has been easy to run breeding experiments and confirm that it is hereditary. Other species, though, tend to be right-hand-dominant for one task and left-hand-dominant for another—not so consistently dominant across multiple tasks like humans are. If other mammals exhibit hand-dominance and pass it on genetically, as we know from experimentation they do, it would make little or no sense to think humans are an exception to the rule. Actually finding and identifying genes for human handedness hasn’t been fruitful, however;
[6] it’s likely that multiple genes influence right- or left-dominance.

In reference to your question about the brain, motor skills are established by the creation and facilitation of synapses in neural circuits, which I’ll explain below. There is a region of cerebral cortex on each side of the brain, within a fold called the precentral gyrus called the primary motor cortex
[7] (in dark blue in these figures). It has subregions dedicated to the control of muscles on the opposite side of the body; the right motor cortex controls the left side and vice versa.

The right precental gyrus, which controls muscles on the left side of the body.

Part of that motor cortex is dedicated to the hand on the opposite side. In the next figure, body regions are shown in distorted sizes in proportion to how much cerebral tissue is employed in their control—a high degree of fine motor control in the tongue, face, and hand, and lower degree of control, with less precision, in the arm, torso, and lower limb. In my previous post (link 7), I show this depicted in amusing three-dimensional sculptures of a little man, or homunculus.
Schematic of a frontal section through that gyrus, showing regions of motor control.

If we take a tissue section through this gyrus, we find on the microscopic level an incredibly dense web of connections between the cerebral neurons, as shown below.

Photomicrograph of a thin slice of cerebral cortex. These neurons have been stained with fluorescent dyes and photographed through a fluorescence light microscope.

With a different, more conventional staining method (silver nitrate) and microscope, and at higher magnification, those neurons look like the next figure.

All these fine branches from the dark, globose cell bodies of the neurons form complex and exquisitely precise networks of connections we call neural networks or neural circuits. The points where two neurons meet, called synapses,
[8] are the decision-making devices in the brain. To explain how they make decisions would require another essay as long as this one or more. I won’t get into that here, but I’ve discussed it before.
[9] For present purposes, suffice it to say the chemical transmission of signals across these synapses, and excitation of the next cell in the circuit, is easier and quicker at some synapses and a little harder and slower at others.

Throughout life, the brain continually remodels its circuitry, partially in response to genetic influences and even more, in response to experience and environmental influences. This constant remodeling is called synaptic plasticity. Basically, that means that throughout life, our neural circuits can be constantly remodeled, unlike the hard-wired circuits of electronic devices.

No synaptic plasticity here; not a good model for the human brain.

In the brain, old synapses can be broken down and removed and new ones added, even in the space of a few hours. Adding new synapses is called synaptogenesis.
[10] Also, existing synapses can be structurally remodeled to make signal transmission easier—we call this synaptic facilitation—or to make transmission harder. Short-term and working memory are achieved by nonstructural, chemical means of synaptic facilitation; long-term memory is based on circuits of structurally modified synapses.

What is happening when we learn and practice motor skills—such as learning to tie your shoes, learning handwriting or keyboarding, or excelling in some sport or mental skill like chess playing—is that we build circuits of new and facilitated synapses that make that skill easier and easier with experience.

So coming full circle to your original question—“What happens in the brain?”—the answer is that as we develop our handedness in infancy, childhood, and beyond (even in fetal life), it seems that genes influence synaptogenesis and facilitation in the primary motor cortex opposite from the side with the dominant hand, and this is reinforced with experience.

What is the origin of the mummified "mermaid" that is worshipped in Japan, and what is its supposed power?

The supposed 300-year-old mummified "mermaid" that was worshipped in Japan for its immortality-giving powers has been exposed as a fabrication made from cloth, paper, cotton, and fish parts. The artifact was allegedly caught off the Japanese island of Shikoku between 1736 and 1741 and is now kept at the Enjuin temple in Asakuchi.
Scientists sent the relic for various analyses including CT scanning, radiocarbon dating, DNA analysis, and fluorescent X-ray analysis, among others. The results revealed that the mummy was manufactured, likely created to cash in on the Japanese fascination with mermaids.
Check cmts for Source or full information ℹ️

The mermaid mummy's hair is mammalian in origin, while the nails were made from animal keratin, and the jaws were taken from an unknown carnivorous fish. The upper body, meanwhile, was mostly made from cloth, paper, and cotton, with pufferfish skin used on the arms, shoulders, neck, and cheeks.

No internal skeleton was detected, but there were metal needles in the back of the neck and lower body. The bottom half, on the other hand, was made with scales from a croaker fish.

According to Hiroshi Kinoshita of the Okayama Folklore Society, who conceived the study, the mummies were likely made in various parts of Japan as a spectacle or for export to foreign countries. There were groups and technicians in Japan at the time who had the skills to make these elaborate mummies. Kinoshita added that mermaids have a legend of immortality in Japan, and it is said that if one eats the flesh of a mermaid, they will never die.

There is a legend in many parts of Japan that a woman accidentally ate the flesh of a mermaid and lived for 800 years. The mermaid mummy's discovery location also had a legend preserved about a mermaid who predicted an infectious disease.

Why are overweight people stigmatized?

Overweight people can be stigmatized for a variety of reasons, some of which are based on societal attitudes and prejudices. One reason is that there is often a perception that overweight people are lazy or lack self-control, which can lead to assumptions that they are less competent or disciplined. Additionally, there is often a bias towards thinness in the media and popular culture, which can lead to negative stereotypes and discrimination against those who do not fit the idealized body type.

Furthermore, there may be health concerns associated with being overweight, such as an increased risk for certain diseases and conditions, which can also contribute to stigma. However, it is important to note that not all overweight people have health problems and that weight is just one aspect of overall health.

Stigmatizing overweight individuals can have negative consequences for their mental and physical health. It can lead to decreased self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and unhealthy behaviors such as disordered eating or avoiding physical activity. It can also lead to discrimination in areas such as employment, healthcare, and social interactions. It is important to treat all individuals with respect and compassion, regardless of their weight or other characteristics.

Here is some more:Recognize that weight stigma is a pervasive problem in many societies, and it is often fueled by negative societal attitudes toward overweight people.
Understand that overweight people may face discrimination, bias, and negative stereotyping in many areas of their lives, including employment, healthcare, education, and personal relationships.
Recognize that weight stigma is not based on scientific evidence, as research has shown that body weight is a complex issue that is influenced by many factors, including genetics, environment, and behavior.
Acknowledge that weight stigma can have significant negative effects on the mental and physical health of overweight individuals, as well as their ability to access healthcare and other resources they need to improve their health.
Take steps to challenge weight stigma by promoting positive attitudes and respect for all body types, advocating for policies that support healthy behaviors, and working to reduce the social and cultural pressures that contribute to weight stigma.
Encourage overweight individuals to seek out support, resources, and community that can help them to improve their health and well-being, and to challenge the negative messages they may encounter in society.

THE MEDUSA

Artist: Caravaggio | Year (completed): 1597 | Period: Baroque

Both of Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio’s depictions of Medusa, one from 1596, named after poet Gaspare Murtola, and the other from 1597, show the precise moment when Perseus slew her. Caravaggio toys with the idea by swapping Medusa’s face with Perseus’ to demonstrate his resistance to her terrifying gaze. The painting is seen to go well with Caravaggio’s particular fascination with brutality and reality due to its odd and complicated style. Apparently, Cardinal del Monte commissioned Caravaggio to paint two versions of Medusa to rival Leonardo da Vinci’s earlier depiction of her. Unfortunately, da Vinci’s Medusa is lost. Thus we can never know how closely Caravaggio’s rendition matched up with da Vinci’s.

What is one image that touches the true essence of stage 4 cancer?

For me, this could be one of the defining images.

But it is not what you think, unfortunately.

They are not lovers, hanging on to each other before one of them vanishes for ever. They are not a mother and child sticking together till death does them part.
It is not someone who is near the end of the cancer battle, clinging desperately to life in stage 4.
Since I saw my ex-wife for the very last time, only weeks before she was obliterated by stage 4 cancer in a mist of bone and liver metastasis, leaving her barely recognizable — even for a person who once knew her so well — I see this painting representing an entirely different aspect of the stage 4 horror.
Because I saw her empty eyes. Her lack of posture because all life was gone. The total absence of color around her, although she was simply in between us. The broken will to live.
This painting depicts something else.

An embrace.
And it is the cancer which is holding on, deeper and deeper. Sucking all the life out of its host. Out of my ex-wife. Out of all stage 4 cancer patients. Out of all those who have tried, but never had a chance to succeed in the very end. Out of all of us who will trie to no avail.
They become a couple so dark, that even when we are close, we simply look away because we feel too cold so near. Because we see how the cancer grows so strongly, and devours all the life it finds.

Until they become one, and disappear.

7 Things You Should Never Tell Anyone About Your Personal Life

Privacy and secret, are two important words that have a very key role in your life. Privacy is a circle that is defined or set by you yourself and society at the same time. There are many things in your life that you have to tell other people and on the other hand, there are some things that you must never tell somebody else at any cost. That is why setting these limits is a very important task. And the other thing is that a person’s privacy is set by himself. And this is compulsory to keep this private. Privacy is important because it saves you from many useless distractions.

Benefits of privacy

It saves you from the biggest fear, the fear of being judged. And you know how important this is to overcome this fear. Because whenever you make a decision to start hustling to achieve something, the biggest fear and challenge you have to face is how will you face people. People start making fun of and demoralizing you with their negative compliments. This outer negativity demotivates you. But when you start in solitude and keep your goals and hustle secret from people, you don’t have to face this fear because people are unaware of what you are doing. You just have to tell them when you are done.

Secondly, the one thing is your dark secrets that you must have to keep private. What happens is that you tell your dark secrets to your very close friends (that you think are sincere to you). At that moment you don’t even realize what will be the results if your trusted person tells this to someone other. But you don’t think about this at that moment. You realize this when your secret is leaked out. You need to understand that a secret doesn’t remain secret once it is shared with someone. Your best friend is the best friend of someone other. It doesn’t mean your friends are fake or dishonest. But the thing is that some things are to keep private from everyone.

One other benefit you get when you start keeping things private from others is that you are saved from the hurdles. All those hurdles that people set on your way to success can be prevented by keeping your destination and journey private. Because you know when negative people see other people’s progress, they start creating hurdles on their way because they can’t see people winning. And when you keep your hustle secret, these sorts of people don’t get a chance to create hurdles on your way. You keep yourself away from all this useless negativity.

Now after discussing the importance of privacy, we will discuss the things that you just need to keep private from people. You should not tell about these things to anyone. Some things can be shared with some people, and some things can never be shared with anyone. So you also have to learn the difference between these things. Because about some things, you need to share them with other people. And some things can never be shared with anybody.

These are some important things that you need to keep private always.

1- Your Goals & Plans

The very first thing that you need to keep private is your big plans and goals. This seems to be a big question why should a person have to keep his goals and plans personally. He must tell other people what he is trying to achieve in the next few years. But there are very strong reasons to keep all this stuff private.

The very first reason has also been discussed before. When you tell your goals and plans to other people, people start giving you negative vibes. They start demotivating you and highlight the useless flaws in your plans. Also, they demoralize you by telling you that you can never achieve your goal. They assure you what you are trying to do is impossible. Simply they use their every trick to betray you and make you quit. So in the end the result that is derived is that you need to keep your goals private.

And one thing is that when you try to achieve something extraordinary and exceptional, and tell this to people, in the result you get criticism. Because don’t want to see a change. People are happy in their situations and don’t want to achieve any progress. They want to stay in their heirs’ position and also want other people to stay within that limited boundary. That is why they criticize every person that tries to achieve something exceptional and make himself groomed.

So to save yourself from all this negativity, you have to keep your plans private. There is no need to share with other people. Once you have achieved that goal, your goals will themselves tell to other people. As there is a famous saying “keep your hustle private and let your success make the noise”.

2- Money in Your Bank

The second thing that you need to keep secret is your income or savings in your bank. There has a number of reasons that will make you keep this secret. The very first reason is that people get jealous when they find your bank amount more than theirs. And after knowing this, negative people want to snatch this from you by hook or by crook. You start getting threats. All these threats are like hanging swords for you. These are just minor reasons for you to keep your money in the bank secret. But there are some security issues also that are the strong reasons to keep your money secret.

When you have more money than other people in your bank account, then you will be supposed to pay for the party dinners. People will always expect you to pay for them. And they will declare you a boastful and prideful person. They will feel that you are bragging about your money. And when you find your bank savings less than others, you will get an element of demotivation. This will add to your mind that you have to make that money at any cost. So a chance builds that you can use negative sources to make money.

So the only solution to all these problems is to keep your bank amounts secret. Because people will be unaware of your assets. They must be in a doubt about your money. And on the other hand, you can work silently without any distractions. You can tell people when you are done and have achieved very just like the richest persons in the world. So, the second thing to keep private for you is your money in the bank.

3- Your Dark Secrets

This point is also of prime importance. We have discussed this before in the introduction. But in this step, we are going to discuss this step in complete detail. Your dark secrets are the most important elements that must need to be kept private. This is due to several reasons. The very first thing is that your secret is secret till it is limited to you. If you share it with someone else, it is no longer secret. Now every time you have a hanging sword what will happen if your trusted person shares this with someone else. This is going to give you serious damage.

You have to understand one thing at this step your relationship with someone doesn’t remain the same all the time. Sometimes, when you are on top of your emotions, you don’t feel any hesitation in sharing your secrets with a person. But after some years, your bond starts getting weaker. Now When this bond no longer exists, your secrets are no longer safe with that person. And the peak of emotions, when you tell your secret to a person, the same peak of emotion comes to that person when he leaks all your secrets. It doesn’t matter what emotion that emotion is. It can be anger, excitement, fun or sad, etc.

These are not books’ words. This happens in real life. So what you have to do is to keep control over your emotions. Because it is also a famous saying that any decision made in a state of emotion is very dangerous. So keep your dark secrets limited to yourself.

4- Your Life Partner’s Secrets

Your love life is also a very crucial thing that you need to keep private. This is due to numerous reasons. The very first reason is that this keeps your love life pure. You don’t do something just for the sake of attention or fame. You remain sincere to your partner and keep him/her away from people. Also, one other benefit is that you don’t need other people’s opinions or approval to choose your life partner. And you believe that your life partner is not for an exhibition but yourself purely. There is nothing unreal in your relationship. Your relationship is based on pure love and sincerity.

And the one other very strong reason is that you stay away from the negative people. Because a bitter reality is that it doesn’t matter how ideal your life partner is, some negative people still must not be happy with this. They will try their best to break your relationship. These sort of negative people will try their best to impose their opinions on you. They will inject some negative insecurities into your mind. These negative vibes that had entered your subconscious mind, will make you feel that your life partner is not right. This is another reason to keep your love life secret.

And one benefit that you get is that it becomes easier for you to break up when such a situation arises. You don’t have to think again and again about this. Because you have kept that relationship private and now you can break it secretly.

These are just a few reasons which will make you keep your partner’s life secret. Several other reasons will give you rigid causes to keep your love life private.

5- Your Weakness

Your weaknesses are the most important things that you need to keep secret. There is no need to explain the reasons behind this point. You know when you tell your weaknesses to a person, you are cutting your own foot. You are telling people where to attack you. People are always in search of your weak points. And when you yourself tell about your all weaknesses, you are just inviting people to harm you. Seemingly, you will sense comfort after sharing your weaknesses with a person. But this short time relief is followed by an unending danger. You understand when a lot of damage has been done.

You have to understand that you have to hide your insecurities and defects hidden from people. There is no need to tell your weak sides to someone even in front of your most trusted person. If we explore this properly, we come to know a couple of things. Because negative people are always in search of a chance to attack you and find a point where to attack you. But when you reveal your weakness easily, the time they had wasted in searching out your weaknesses is saved. And now it becomes easier for them to harm you.

Also, you can overcome your shortcomings when you work on them privately. When people are aware of your shortcomings then even after removing them, people don’t believe you. They judge you by your weaknesses ignoring all your strong points. These shortcomings are permanently attached to your personality. Now you can remove them from your personality but not from people’s minds. So keep your weaknesses private and work in silence to overcome them.

6- Bragging About Your Success

Bragging about your own success is a very dark thing. There is a number of problems that start taking place when you Bragg on your success. What actually happens is you work very silently and dream about your life after you get success. These are just sparks that start adding up in you. And when you get success, you become out of control. All the success you have got forces you to preach it. But actually, as we mentioned earlier, there is no need to orate your success. You just have to hustle properly. Success will itself come out of the box and tell people about itself.

But when you yourself Bragg on your success, you lose your respect. People start thinking negatively about you. You also must have observed many people around you who praise themselves. These people are just like fools. Because a person who praises himself is a fool. Similarly, when you Bragg about your success people not only avoid you but also will not believe you. So it makes a very much difference. You can avoid all this by keeping your success private.

And the other drawback is that Bragging about your success stops the way of upcoming success. When you Bragg about your success, you feel that you have worked enough and achieved enough. So you stop hustling. And ultimately when you stop hustling, you are inviting failure. This is another very dangerous drawback. So keep your success private. Let your success make the noise itself.

7- Act of Kindness & Good Deeds

This is a plus point. The one most important thing that you have to keep secret is your act of kindness and good deeds. This will help you keep real. And a humble person is the real one. Because when you show off good deeds, it becomes unreal. This seems like you are doing this as a publicity stunt. People also start assuming negatively about you. Because they will have a mindset about you that you are a show-off sort of person. If you really want to be a humble person, you have to keep these types of acts secret. And it’s not about other people’s perceptions. By doing this you are actually not true to yourself. If you want true happiness, try to do good things in secret.

You should do this just for your own relief, not for the praise of people. When you do this as a publicity stunt, this doesn’t increase your respect but people start hating you. Because people only love down-to-earth sort of person. When you do this for attention, you will not feel happy. God only gets happy from you when you do something just for him.

So you have to do good deeds and help other people but keep this secret. You can just tell this to some people just to make them also do this. Not to make them appreciate you. Keep your good deeds private.
